Firefighting with the use of Helicopters
WATER BOMBING HELICOPTERS
Heli Lift can provide rapid fire support – Heli Lift “Heli Tack” heavy lift water bombing helicopters are fitted with 1400 litre Water Hogg fire buckets capable of self filling and either “full load drop” or “multi drop operations”. Alternatively, we have lighter single engine firefighting helicopters using a 650litre multidrop bucket for mopping up spot fires, smoldering tree stumps, and general containment.
AIR ATTACK
Heli Lift can provide a specially equipped airborne supervision platform for fire supervisors who manage and control all aspects of communication between other aircraft and ground personnel ensuring improved safety for fire fighters. These support helicopters are equipped with special radio equipment for Government operations.
SUPPORT
To support our fire fleet we have a dedicated AWD fuel truck capable of 11,000 litres of JetA1 fuel. In addition we can provide a 4WD service vehicle providing maintenance and crew support in remote areas.
